Meet Dr. Chinwe Obinwa, a seasoned Forensic Psychiatrist with a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in the mental health domain. Throughout her career, Dr. Obinwa has gained proficiency in various subspecialties of psychiatry, including neuropsychiatry, forensic learning disability, specialist female-only services, and offender services.
Dr. Obinwa is distinguished for her forensic expertise in assessing complex cases that involve multiple agencies and pose a significant risk of harm to others. She’s adept with various risk assessment tools, such as RSVP, IPDE, HCR-20, SAPROF, Stalking Risk Profile, and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule.
In addition to her forensic work, Dr. Obinwa has special clinical interests in Occupational Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry, particularly with respect to brain injuries. She has dedicated over a decade to medico-legal practice, honing her skills in handling forensic cases, neuropsychiatric matters including traumatic brain injuries, and psychiatric conditions arising from trauma, personal injury, and clinical negligence cases.
